Farewell to winter in the central square of Vladivostok

On March 10 “Shmakovskaya” cheerfully and merrily said farewell to winter on the central square of Vladivostok, where thousands of guests gathered. Everyone walked, took part in competitions and took pictures. From morning until evening a fair worked, where everyone was treated to real soldier’s porridge and hot tea. But most of the people that day gathered around a wooden pillar, on top of which there were bags with gifts and near the “Shmakovsky lemonades”, with which “Shmakovskaya” together with a bear and a merry-andrew generously treated the residents and visitors of the city. About 1000 people were able to try and remember the taste from childhood of which “Shmakovsky lemonade” is so reminiscent. And those who couldn’t attend the celebration of Shrovetide in the central square, with the same fun said farewell to the winter with our friends at the recreation center “Comet”. Hundreds of citizens celebrated Shrovetide. In addition to festivities, there were contests in which real heroes took part. The best of them were awarded prizes, among which there were the youthful “Shmakovsky lemonades”)) Shrovetide celebrations ended with the traditional burning of a scarecrow.
